He motions for you to be quiet and you understand. It’s Jonathan!
It seems he’d managed to disguise himself and follow you from not too far behind. You and Jonathan plan your escape and flee in disguise the moment you have a chance. There are several close calls but the guards here are complacent – It seems that may be the trouble with a “perfect” society…
Eventually, you stumble into a laboratory with recently recorded data logs. You find one of The Finder being subjected to horrifying experiments – his body transmogrified into shapes you couldn’t even begin to describe: New appendages thrashing into existence as they rapidly spurt from joints that should not exist – his meager frame distorting, bones cracking and shifting unnaturally beneath his pale skin – contrasted against the evil black machines that surround him. And there amidst the nightmare amalgamate that was The Finder, is the White Cube: it’s energy radiating forth in a cacophony of screams. You aren’t sure which belong to the Cube, and which belong to The Finder, but their synchronous wails are nearly enough to drive you mad before the feed is snuffed. His is only the newest, among what must be thousands of human experiments just like this.
You turn to Jonathan, his face a pale white. You suspect yours to be much the same. The two of you fervently rummage through the documents to find something – anything that might explain these crimes against nature until something catches your eye: a dossier.
It’s labelled “Jonathan”.
