There was a brief moment of silence as I stood there in front of Lord Fartimore. My knife submerged into his chest. He gasped in disbelief. His eyes wide open and his facial reaction in complete shock. I looked at him with an emotionless face and twisted the knife with all my strength right before releasing it. He roared in agony and collapsed onto the floor as his blood gushed out from the wound. My hands and knife were covered in blood. I stared blankly for a moment and could hear muffled sounds of people screaming. All of a sudden, gas and smoked filled the air. A smoke bomb had been thrown. I covered my mouth and pushed my way through the thick fog. People and children were screaming, shots were fired, and more blood was shed.
It was in that moment I knew
I had started a war.
