(20) Sneak through the door

The door opens easily and I slide through into the dark space. I close the door quietly behind me. The metal is cool around me as I search the dampness to understand this space. Walls surround me with rungs directly behind the door. I stretch my arms up and realize the roof must be quite high so moving up is the only option. I grab the rough rungs and slowly yet cautiously move upwards stretching my arms upward to search before continuing. After what feels like hours of moving through the darkness I reach a ledge. It is from this ledge that a sliver of silver light appears. I follow it out into the sunlight. The ground is barren but boxes litter the area. As I continue to take in the scene, I notice some sounds coming from up ahead. Quietly I sneak around the corner and hear a pair talking as they load some cargo. My quickly catches the small symbol on the corner of the one box. It is the symbol from the crystal ball. Could this be a clue to finding out the truth? The pair continues to talk, and I overhear the word banished followed by hospital and then the second asks how they will ever find them? “That is what the bosses pay the big bucks for. We are not cheap pirates that is for sure.” I wonder if they are looking for me.
