Expand the Floating City

“I want you to expand the Floating City,” I conclude.

“Hmm… so you wish to bring those Undergrounders here?” the father asks.

“Yes. I also want them all to receive the Pigeon Treatment,” I add.

“So you are aiming for complete equality,” the mother replies. “Are you sure this is a good idea?”

“Why not? Is that not what caused this disparity in the first place?” I ask.

The Aliens exchange a look, unsure, but they eventually agree.

“Very well human. It shall be done,” the father states. And so that is what happened. The Floating City was expanded, and all the Undergrounders received the Pigeon Treatment, and were invited to live on the Floating City. But being face-to-face with their oppressors was too much–the Undergrounders could not forget the injustices they had to endure for so many years. A civil war eventually erupted; it was so catastrophic that it was called Battle of the Sky and Earth. Even the Aliens weren’t able to do anything. But having caused this whole mess, I tried to resolve it, but both the Pigeons and the Undergrounders turned on me instead. I could not do anything. It was over in a second. I just wanted to help. I wonder if it would have been better if I did not do anything at all… I can hear AZ4’s cries. I didn’t even get to spend time with them… I wish I could go back…

Before I knew it, everything went black.

If you’ve lost your way in the IFStravaganza, you can always go back to the beginning.
