Throughout this project, I feel that I learned a lot about working as a team to create a story and also about interactive stories in general. My group worked on the story named “Pigeon Alien’s Search for Memories”, and I worked specifically on the first part of the story. I have never written anything like this before, so I was apprehensive at first, but once I got started, I really enjoyed myself. I found that it was difficult getting a clear idea of the story right at the beginning, but the story wrote itself once everyone started on their parts.
In terms of contributing to the project, I think our group brings a very fun, adventurous tale to the IFstravaganza project as a whole. I would say that our story has many fun aspects to it, like a human that turns into a pigeon during the full moon. I am interested to see how our story compares to the others, and I look forward to reading them all.
I chose to write the beginning of the story because I thought it would be the easiest part to write. As someone who starts many things but never finishes them, this was definitely the best job for me. Something that I learned from working with a group is that people have different writing styles. I can see the differences between my writing and my group member’s writing, and I think that it adds character to the story. I usually work alone when it comes to writing and art, but I found that it was helpful to work with other people for this project. Overall, I would say that this project taught me a lot about how to write interactive stories and how to work with a group creatively.
