Leave the hospital and explore

I ignore my fatigue and pull myself out of bed. It wasn’t hard to find my way out of the hospital; it was quite small. I look up, and instead of seeing a blue sky, I see the same brown ceiling that I saw in the hospital. That’s strange. Am I underground? I don’t remember living in a place like this. I walk for a short time until a hoarse voice pops up behind me.

“Young’un, you seem to have a strange energy surrounding you.”

I startle, and turn around. An old, veiled woman seemed to be talking to me.

“A strange energy?” I ask.

“Yes. Verrry strange. I have not seen someone like you in all of the Underground. Won’t you come in for a free service?” she asks, pointing towards her small shop. It read, “FORTUNE TELLING” in ominous letters above the door. Before I could refuse, she pushes me into the shop. “Now,” she starts, cracking her knuckles. “I see that you have amnesia.” I step back, alarmed.

“How did you know that?” I ask. Pretty dumb question to ask a Psychic. She chuckles.

“I saw you walk out of the hospital, confused. Lucky guess.”

“… Oh.”

“Now then, I do not want to expend too much of my energy. I have many customers to get to,” she states confidently. The street was deserted. I think I heard crickets. “You can choose between the past or the future. Which will you choose?”

Learn about the past or look into the future.

If you’ve lost your way in the IFStravaganza, you can always go back to the beginning.
