Reflection

For this project, I contributed to part of the story and also helped to structure the story and help connect stories that my other teammates were working on with mine. I also wrote the entry point of the story.

In terms of what did not work, I felt like I had a scope issue, and as ideas kept coming into my head I just kept adding them to the story tree. So we ended up with a tree that was very complicated and hard to understand. But having teammates helped a lot with the scope issue because if I ever felt like a plot line I was working on felt flat, I would just try to link it to stories that my teammates were working on, thereby making the plotline a bit more interesting.

Another thing that we could have improved on was the organization of the team because we felt we could do digital communication, but that was not the case because with digital communication it is hard to tell when everyone is busy and when everyone is free. So next time I work on a team we would try to work out which forms of communication worked best and try to better understand each other’s schedules

This project also changed my perception of what an interactive story means because at first, I thought to write an interactive story I had to put multiple choices at each node, but now I know that is not necessary, and you should only put multiple choices when it helps the story you are trying to tell.
