I have decided to make the character that the player takes control of in my story be part of a bank heist crew called “The Golden Dollars.” They will have a mentor character who has raised them from childhood and taught them how to be a thief. I was thinking that there could be a character to represent the decision to stay which would most likely be Daryll. Their character would influence the player to stay in the crew, perhaps out of some familial obligation or a feeling of loyalty to Daryll and the crew. There will also be another character that will influence the player to leave, perhaps a member of the crew who’s been around for a while who is tired of robbing banks.
The story will most likely start during a heist where something either goes wrong, or the player character’s actions cause unintentionally suffering for some innocent people. That will be when the player character will start having doubts about heisting for a living. The player will choose whether or not to linger on these doubts, or simply cast them aside and continue robbing banks.
The two main endings will be leaving and staying however I will also try to have some variation in how exactly the player leaves or stays. Like they could leave the crew while also reporting them to the police
