The Plane Crash IF Story: Visual Representation Via Miro

For my interactive fiction story, I created a mind map to visualize my story through Miro.

The plot would begin with waking up on a stranded island after a tragic plane crash. The player will then decide if they want to get up and look around in the present or if they would like to rewind to one week before the incident.

A glimpse into the present time would look something like this:

If the player choses flashback, a glimpse of that would be something like this:

I am currently working on how to create an “end” to the story as well as how certain blocks connect with others from the present to the past. Once I have figured out all my plots and a larger scope of my story, I will go into creating the scenes for each block and using a tool such as powerpoint or twine to create it.

If you’ve lost your way in the IFStravaganza, you can always go back to the beginning.

Woah! This is a super great idea, I really like it. I first was just “okay, neat!” when I saw the plane crash component. It’s a solid and familiar starting point for a more open ended story, and it involves a good set of rational goals for the player “survive, heal, take inventory of what made it through the crash”. But then I read the other part where you can go back to before the rash, Lost style. Dang, that’s a super cool idea. I don’t even have anything constructive to say or anything to ask or add, I’m just excited to see how this turns out.

This plan looks amazing! The choices seem very intriguing and the plane crash idea itself is super captivating. Looking at how you have been tying your choice options together, I can tell that you have really thought this through! I am looking forward to hearing more about your story!
