Planning 1

I have the first act mapped out. I’m thinking to keep things easier to manage with all the paths being able to branch out into each other, to mostly keep choices limited to a simple binary. Any more than that and it may become too many choices to manage. The first choice however is split into four choices to get the player onto a path leading to one of the 4 endings early. I will most likely go back after the rest of the story is mapped out and add more ways for the players choices to branch out into different paths. What is not mentioned in this initial map is any of the side characters. This is because none of them will be relevant to the choices made and will simply chime in from time to time. They will however react to the players choices, to provide them some positive and negative feedback, and gauge where the crew is at.

If you’ve lost your way in the IFStravaganza, you can always go back to the beginning.

    Hi Sean!

I think keeping us simple, considering the time we have is a smart move. Quality over quantity will definitely make the story more enjoyable.

Though, I do have a question. Why are the side characters irrelevant (so much so that they do not matter?) Would it be better to not include side characters who might come off to the player as a second thought, or a filler character? I think if you do plan on adding some, you can let them have some story/ lore so they have more character and personality. This would make them more memorable, and even add more spice when giving back feedback as you mentioned.

Good luck on the project, I’m looking forward to what you have 🙂
