Writing the Paths

This is so exhausting! One frame is just the path for the first room. Thankfully the first floor has the most exploration and it gets easier as you go/collect supplies but dang I kinda hate myself. The Miro coming in clutch though so I don’t get confused with what path to add to what.

Just look at this large amount of nonsense:

Room One Story Paths
Some* of Floor One’s Paths

I’ve also been slowly making names/passwords for everywhere and keeping track of them as well as where I get the reference from. Most numbers are keysmashes but I want the names to come from different science fiction sources.

Names and Passcodes

I think I want the player to never talk, and only have memories of talking that aren’t theirs but actually belongs to the scientist.

After I write all the paths I need to write all of Bot’s commentary – it needs to be separate so it can be activated only when the player has the headset on.

Is this too ambitious? No clue! :3

If you’ve lost your way in the IFStravaganza, you can always go back to the beginning.

    Hi Tommy!

You look to have a lot on your hands (but I totally understand that struggle haha) I’ve been reading through your posts and this seems to be a complete banger of a story.

I do have one question though, why did you choose to have the player not talk? Is this because they are unable do they subconsciously live within another person body that isn’t theirs? It’s a little confusing why they would be able to have the scientist memories unless somehow memory transfer exists within this world.

Regardless, good luck on your project 🙂
