Deciding between “Twine” or “Powerpoint”

For my Interactive Story, I began working on Twine because it was a more visual way of putting my storyline together and seeing how it comes together. After I went through the trial run to see how it played out I liked the simplicity of it since much of the work is engrained in the flashback/stroyline. However, I am nervous that it may come off as too simple given that there is no audio or images that may captivate the reader more. Trying it through powerpoint would give me the opportunity to embed those images and audio. But again I also don’t want it to take away from the story.

I’m sort of stuck between twine and powerpoint for the way I want to deliver my interactive story. As I edit and revise it I also feel like I need to add more content, and pathways for the player. I’m finding the timeline a little difficult but hopefully will find a way to make it work!

If you’ve lost your way in the IFStravaganza, you can always go back to the beginning.

If you think the story is better conveyed through a simple form, I don’t think there is any reason for you to need to add audio or images so I wouldn’t worry about it too much! Sometimes too much embellishment can have the opposite effect of what you may want and so it is probably best to stick to your gut on this one.
