SB #7 Using Twine

I’ve begun to write out my story on Twine. Its surprisingly easy, when you’re just mapping out the different choices and consequences. I did start to struggle a little when I wanted to rename a certain passages. It would create a bunch of new passages as I’m writing.

I managed to figure it out though! Its best to just go onto the passage you want to rename, and rename it directly. It’ll automatically change the name of the choice in the passage before it. But if you try to rename it by changing the choice in the passage before, it’ll just disconnect and create an entirely new passage. If you want the choice and the passage name to be different, you do a little arrow. If you want to change the choice, you do that directly in the passage. Its best to get rid of one side of brackets before you type. That way it won’t create a bunch of new passages like the picture above.

I’ve added a lot more passages, but I’ll post those later!

If you’ve lost your way in the IFStravaganza, you can always go back to the beginning.

It sounds really easy to make a story on Twine. Actually, I think I have finished my interactive storytelling on Powerpoint. Maybe in someday I would like to try this and take in your experience to have a better usage of this application.
