Introduction of Protagonist / Player (A2)

Welcome to the story that you’ll have to solve. You are the main protagonist living in Salt Lake, a city founded in 1848 by early Mormon / LDS (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) pioneer settlers. They were led by Brigham Young (a religious leader), seeking a better life and an escape from the persecution that they had experienced farther east. As you venture in this land during the present day, you’ll often bump up on references from the past. Especially since Salt Lake is an essential location and meeting place for the religion. The history of Mormonism is very complex, and could take a lifetime to fully understand. Regardless, this story will attempt to cover some essential historical moments, in order to understand the psychology of some of its characters.

You in particular have been living in Salt Lake your entire life. You were born and raised in the Church, and haven’t even questioned what your life would be without it. If fact you love it! You are a family man, a father with a wife and two little girls. Your name is Jeb Pyre and you try to be the very best person for them. You’re there to celebrate their achievements, and to comfort them when they are sad or scared. You also take pride in the little things like cooking them dinner, helping them with school work, reading bedtime stories, and tucking them in at night. Every Monday night you spend special time together as a family, often participating in new and fun activities. Most of all, they are your little angels and you couldn’t see your life without them. Both you and your wife Rebecca are the luckiest people in the world, and you think of it every day!

You are torn when going to work everyday, but enjoy at large your work as a detective. All has been going relatively well until …
