Images/ Background to PowerPoint

Throughout my creation of my PowerPoint I started with having pictures that were very clear but I felt that they took away from the story in a way as people would be focused on the images rather than the text and could impact the flow of the story. As a result I changed all the photos to have them blurred taking the focus away from the images but still providing them as the character changes locations in the game. Additionally the blur gave the story a more mysterious feel to it which I really liked I also adjusted the brightness to some of the visuals to make it seem a little more gloomy to fit the theme of my story. (See example below)

If you’ve lost your way in the IFStravaganza, you can always go back to the beginning.

I think you edited the photos perfectly! Blurring the image also definitely takes the focus away from the background itself and places it on the text, so if that was your goal you, got it! And the photos aren’t too blurry that what you intended to show became unrecognizable. Well done!!

Using PowerPoint to express the entire story is a very smart move actually. But by the time I realized this approach, it was too late. But the pictures you chose are really great and have a lot of ideas of your own that I should learn from.

I really enjoy this idea of blurred out images! It also allows the player to fill in the blanks, and use their imagination while playing the interactive story.
