SPOILERS AHEAD FOR CHAINSAW MAN!!!
While recently rereading the manga(comic?) chainsaw man by Tatsuki Fujimoto, because the second part just started, I came across a plot point where a character made a choice that affected the whole story, but I could not stop thinking to my self, what if he had made a different choice, how different would the story have been? So I have decided to use this post to explore that.
This is the dilemma, the character Aki is asked after being targeted by a group of yakuza members whether or not he wants to stay with public safety as a devil hunter or quit and go to the civilian sector:

If this were an interactive story, a dialog option pops up, and well you make a choice, and if you pick No and decide to quit, he spends the rest of his life(he has 2 years left read the manga to find out why), in the civilian sector, and he lives a happy life with denji and power:

But if you pick Yes, and stay in the public safety sector, well you would have to read the manga to find out what happens.
Note: this manga is gory, and may contain scenes that may make you feel uncomfortable, so viewers discretion is advised
I plan on doing more of these through out the term. i.e “fixing stories using interactivity”
