Ron Lafferty; Guilty

During the interrogations, Ron broke down and admitted to committing the crime. He began cracking once you asked him about his relationship with his father, and where his wife and children had gone. He said something along the lines of being a new designated prophet, and how this mission gave purpose to his life. His guilt, shame, and loneliness must have led him down this rabbit hole. One that he will never crawl out of. Ron was sentenced a life in prison.

A year later, another victim with a similar crime scene and death wounds was found. Dan Lafferty was found guilty. Not only was he charged for the recent crime, but was also found on trial to have assisted in committing Brenda and Erica’s deaths a year previous. Escaping from being found guilty gave him a boost in ego. He falsely reconciled his actions as being the will of God. It is a relief that he is now in prison, but an additional innocent life was lost.
