OTAT Update

I’ve finished all the character designs and started implementing the game play and animations.

It took a while to cut out all the character but I think it turned out pretty well.

here is a gif of one of the scenes from the game

Last semester I took an English class on children’s literature and so this project is going to be an interactive children’s story. I went with the construction paper look because it really reminded me of blues clues and a lot of other childhood memories.

If you’ve lost your way in the IFStravaganza, you can always go back to the beginning.

I love how you implemented real cut outs into the creation of your children’s interactive story. The GIF is awesome and I can’t wait to discover all the visual implementation you have created to keep children engaged 🙂

This looks so cute! Definitely agree that the cut outs suit the vibe you’re going for. They feel very nostalgic! As for that children’s literature course, was it ENGL 396 Literature for Young People? Because I took that class too! One of the readings was Peter and Wendy by J.M. Barrie, and that’s what inspired me to make my game too!
